Privacy Policy for Cuesa

Cuesa is a focus and reflection app for iPhone, published by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Cuesa iPhone app, not the Cuesa website. For the website, see the separate Website Privacy Notice at [WEBSITE PRIVACY NOTICE URL].

The short version: Cuesa has no user accounts or Cuesa-operated backend. Your cues, check-ins, focus-session records, preferences and on-device insights stay on your iPhone; the app does not send that content to us. Apple separately processes information when you download or test the app, use its services, make an in-app purchase, back up your device or choose to share diagnostics. Apple may make limited reports available to us, as explained below.

1. Information we receive

Cuesa does not send your cues, completions, check-ins, focus-session records or on-device insights to us. We do not operate an account system or a server that receives this content.

Apple may provide us with aggregate information about Cuesa, such as download or sales metrics. If you choose to share device analytics with developers, Apple may also make diagnostic or crash information available to us. Apple processes this information through its own services and settings; it is separate from your entries being sent to us by the app. See section 7.

2. Information the app stores on your device

Cuesa stores the following locally in the app's private container on your iPhone, using Apple's SwiftData and UserDefaults:

• Cues: titles, times, tags, colours and repeat rules.
• Completions: which cues you tended to, and when.
• Check-ins: the mood and energy you record after a focus session.
• Focus sessions: durations, rounds and how much of each ran.
• Preferences: day start and end, appearance, focus and break lengths, chosen ambient sound, notification settings and selected app icon.

Cuesa may also calculate insights from your entries on your iPhone, such as patterns in cue completion, focus timing or tags, and mood or energy check-ins. The app uses these insights locally and does not send them to us.

3. Notifications

Cuesa schedules local notifications only: a chime at the end of a focus round or break, cue reminders you set, and an optional end-of-day note about your own patterns. Cuesa creates their content on your iPhone and asks iOS to deliver them locally. Cuesa does not use a push-notification server to send their content.

4. On-device intelligence

On supported devices, Cuesa may use Apple's on-device Foundation Models to phrase an observation about your week. The relevant information and generated observation are processed on your iPhone; Cuesa does not send the prompt, your entries or the generated observation to Apple, to us or to another model provider for this feature. Where the model is unavailable, Cuesa composes an observation from fixed phrasings on your device.

5. Health and wellbeing data

Mood and energy check-ins are personal information about how you felt. Like the other records in section 2, they are stored locally and are not sent to us by the app.

Cuesa does not read from or write to Apple Health.

6. Tracking and third-party software

We do not track you across apps or websites, show advertising, sell or rent your app content, or use your entries to train a model. The app may describe patterns in your entries on your device, but we do not build an advertising profile about you.

Cuesa includes RiveRuntime, a third-party framework used to render in-app animations. We do not use it for analytics, advertising or crash reporting. Cuesa does not include analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. The presence of RiveRuntime means it would be inaccurate to say that Cuesa has no third-party software of any kind.

7. Apple services and device backups

Device backups. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, the backup may include Cuesa's local data. Apple or your chosen backup provider processes that backup under its own terms and settings. We cannot access it.

App Store and TestFlight. Apple processes information when you download, purchase or test Cuesa. Apple may make aggregate app metrics and, where applicable, diagnostic or crash information available to us. Apple's processing is governed by its own privacy terms and your settings; it does not mean Cuesa uploads your entries to us.

Purchases, if offered. Apple processes payment for in-app purchases. The app may receive transaction or entitlement information needed to unlock or restore paid access. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

8. Children

Cuesa is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's entries through the app. If you have a question about information that may have reached us through Apple services, contact us using section 12.

9. Deleting your data

Deleting Cuesa from your iPhone removes the information stored in its app container on that device. We do not keep a server copy of your entries or insights and cannot recover them for you.

If you have a device backup, a copy may remain there until that backup is deleted or replaced. See section 7.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights concerning personal information. Cuesa does not hold a copy of information stored only on your iPhone, so we cannot access, correct, export or delete that local content for you. You can manage it on your device; deleting the app removes its local data, subject to the backup caveat above.

This policy does not waive or limit rights that apply to information we or another provider holds. For information Apple holds, use Apple's privacy tools or contact Apple. For information we control, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL]; we will handle applicable requests as required by law.

11. Changes to this policy

If a future version of Cuesa adds a feature that causes your app content to leave your device (such as an account, sync, a backup service or cloud-based analysis), we will update this policy before that version ships and describe the change here.
