A note from the founder

Calm is a product decision.

I've never wanted another productivity app that makes people feel like they're falling behind.

The broken streaks. The red overdue flags. The tasks rolling over into angry little stacks. Somewhere along the way, the tools meant to help us focus started grading us instead. As a creative juggling client work, my own projects and days that never go to plan, that pressure didn't make me more productive. It just made me anxious.

So I'm building Cuesa, a quiet companion for creative focus. It's simple: choose a cue, spend focused time on it, and notice what helps you work well. No streaks, no leaderboards, no guilt trips. When plans change, you change them, and the app doesn't punish you for being human.

Over time, Insights shows you what's working: your focused time, your peak focus windows, the patterns that keep coming back. The goal isn't to score your day. It's to help you understand it.

Building it has taught me that calm isn't a visual style. It shapes the copy, the motion, the empty states, how progress is shown, and every moment the app could interrupt you and chooses not to.

Cuesa is on its way to the App Store, and I'm sharing the process as I go.

I'm building it for the version of me that just wanted to do good work without feeling it was never enough. I hope it does the same for you.
